MDKL held a pilot project to conduct clean competition for the district of Kuala Langat from 15-16th April 2019, headed by Puan. Nurasykin Binti Mohamed Yusof, the Senior Assistant Town Planner cum Investment Officer. Qram was honoured to participate in the event as one of the auditors and panel of judges in the competition which had 4 categories of toilets, namely, Mamak Restaurants, Fast Food Franchise Outlets, Petrol Kiosks and Shopping Complexes.
Qram was represented by its Secretary General En. Nor Azman Bin Amat Kalam, Publicity Chairman Mr. Somasundram and Technical Training Chairman Mr. AC Lim. The other panel of judges comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) and the Health Department. There were a total of 41 toilets audited by 3 groups of auditors headed each group by the representative from KPKT.
The audit ended on 16th April with the closing summary of the audit evaluation result from the 3 groups chaired by Pn. Nurasykin. She thanked the team members and noted that, some of the toilets in the Mamak restaurants were below par and needed much room for improvement however, there were several toilets in the Franchise outlets like McDonalds, KFC, Domino and Secret Recipe which had reasonable higher standard of toilet quality. The winners will be proposed for the National Level competition in future. The winners will be announced later and award presentation after the Hari Raya, according to Pn. Nurasykin.
