The following day. Qram members witnessed the launching of the toilet star rating sticker by the Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPJ) President, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Aminudddin Bin Hassim at the Taman Putra Perdana public toilet in Putrajaya on 30th April 2019.

Qram was invited to give a talk on the criteria for the clean toilet competition by Majlis Perbandaran Shah Alam (MBSA) to the participants of restaurants and petrol kiosks on 29th April 2019 in Setia Alam.

MDKL held a pilot project to conduct clean competition for the district of Kuala Langat from 15-16th April 2019, headed by Puan. Nurasykin Binti Mohamed Yusof, the Senior Assistant Town Planner cum Investment Officer. Qram was honoured to participate in the event as one of the auditors and panel of judges in the competition which had 4 categories of toilets, namely, Mamak Restaurants, Fast Food Franchise Outlets, Petrol Kiosks and Shopping Complexes.
Qram was represented by its Secretary General En. Nor Azman Bin Amat Kalam, Publicity Chairman Mr. Somasundram and Technical Training Chairman Mr. AC Lim. The other panel of judges comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) and the Health Department. There were a total of 41 toilets audited by 3 groups of auditors headed each group by the representative from KPKT.
The audit ended on 16th April with the closing summary of the audit evaluation result from the 3 groups chaired by Pn. Nurasykin. She thanked the team members and noted that, some of the toilets in the Mamak restaurants were below par and needed much room for improvement however, there were several toilets in the Franchise outlets like McDonalds, KFC, Domino and Secret Recipe which had reasonable higher standard of toilet quality. The winners will be proposed for the National Level competition in future. The winners will be announced later and award presentation after the Hari Raya, according to Pn. Nurasykin.

Qram participated in the 2019 National Level Environmental and World Toilet day event in Ipoh Indera Stadium from 24-26th January 2019, organised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government. Qram was given an exhibition booth and were represented by the National Chairman, En. Hasan Bin Hamzah, Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Indrakaran, Secretary General En. Nor Azman, Executive Secretary, Mdm Chris Choong, Public Relation Chairman Mr. Somasundran, Technical and Training Chairman Mr. AC Lim and Council member Mdm Hariani Binti Pauwi from Sarawak. Qram Secretary General, En. Nor Azman was given the honour to present a paper on the role of Qram in promoting clean toilet culture in school at the seminar on 24.01.19.

Qram conducted it's first big toilet management seminar in 2019. The 2 days seminar held on 19th & 20th February in Putrajaya Pulse Grande Hotel was organised by Perbadanan Putrajaya or, Putrajaya Holdings consisted of a total of more than 150 participants. It was officiated by it’s Health and Environment Director Dr, Azali Bin Sulaiman on 19th February 2019 and closed by     the Vice President YB Datuk Azizi Bin Hj, Ahmad Termizi on 20th February 2019  with a closing speech  and  certificate presentation to all the participants who had successfully completed the seminar.

The Qram members involved were the National Chairman, En. Hasan, Deputy Chairman II, Mr. Rajendran Kobalu, Secretary General Nor Azman Bin Amat, Technical and Training Chairman, Mr. AC Lim, Executive Secretary Chris Choong, Council member En Abdul Rabbiar and 2 other Ordinary Life Members En. Shafizi and En Rezam.

The 4 presentation papers touched on the brief Introduction of Qram, Proper Toilet Etiquette, Design, Structures maintenance and practical manual cleaning technique. The participants consisted mainly of restaurant owners, hoteliers, cleaning service providers, contractors, and auditors amongst others.

Qram held its 9th Annual General Meeting on Saturday 23rd June 2018 at the Secretariat Office block building of Pakai Industries Berhad located at Connaught Avenue, Cheras, KL from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm.

En. Hasan Bin Hj. Hamzah chaired the meeting as the acting Chairman, assisted by several council members and attended by other members. Many ordinary life members especially those from Sabah, Sarawak and Penang were keen to attend the meeting, but were unable  due to the on-going Hari Raya festival season, however, 5 members from Melaka managed to turn up for the AGM, including the Branch Chairman, Mr. Johnson Tay, Vice Chairman, Mr. Tirunavokarasan and 3 new Ordinary Life Members.

The meeting went on smoothly with the adoption of the audited financial statements and the successful nomination and election of 16 new council members, amongst other agenda notified to the members earlier. Mr. Rajendran was chosen to take over the meeting to conduct the election of the new council members and En. Hasan was once again returned unopposed as the National Chairman for another term of two years. There were active participation from the members at the meeting and several proposals were brought up by the members to the newly elected committee for consideration.

The meeting ended on a good note, with 6 Qram membership certificates being officially presented to its new members, including two from Melaka Branch. On completion of the meeting, the members were treated to a good fellowship lunch in the meeting place.

The national level World Toilet Day Carnival 2017 organised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government was held at Dataran Tanjong Emas Muar from 16th to 18th December 2017 coordinated by fellow Qram member Mr. Rajen from the ministry with Qram, in order to, play an active role in the event.

In conjunction with the world toilet day on 19th November 2017, a talk was conducted to the Methodist Girls Primary 2 School in Melaka on Monday 20th November 2017 at the request of the school headmistress Madam Lim Li Lian to Qram Melaka. The talk was carried out at the school hall for about 100 students which comprised of the standard 4 to 6 students immediately after their morning assembly from 8.30 am to 10.00 am.

Jasin Tamil School Tertiary Education, Personal Hygiene and Toilet Cleanliness Awareness Seminar.


The seminar was jointly organised by the SJKT Jasin Melaka school, PIBG president Mr. Matheealaggan, Akademi Badminton representative Mrs. Premulatha and QRAM Melaka committee members, Johnson, Tiru, AC Lim and Murugiah in the school hall for all the standard six pupils on Sunday, 26/2/17 from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm.
